摘　　要：当地时间5月26日、27日,现代寓言歌剧《赌命》在伦敦丝绸街剧院(Silk Street Theatre)完成了它的英国首演。这部自宣传推广以来持续引起英国观众极大兴趣的中国歌剧,最终也赢得了现场观众的赞赏与好评。值得一提的是,作为上海歌剧院继去年《雷雨》之后第二部出访英国的中国原创作品,此番《赌命》的演出由上海歌剧院与伦敦市政厅音乐及戏剧学院联合制作完成,可谓中西音乐文化的交流与合作中一次颇有借鉴意义的成功案例。The Wager had its UK premiere on May 26 at London's Silk Street Theatre.The British audience was keen to learn about this Chinese opera,and the performances garnered much praise.It is worth to mentioning that The Wager is the second original Chinese opera that the Shanghai Opera House brought to London.Last summer,Thunderstorm was presented at the English National Opera.The Wager,a co-production of the Shanghai Opera House and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama,was an example of a successful collaboration between China and the West.
