Objective To explore the application of negative pressure closed drainage in the treatment of diabetic foot. Methods A total of 98 patients with diabetic foot were enrolled in this study from January 2015 to December 2016. The patients were divided into observation group and control group according to different treatment methods, with 49 patients in each group The control group was treated with routine therapy and the patients in the observation group were treated with negative pressure and drainage to treat patients with diabetic foot. The two groups were compared in terms of wound healing time, hospitalization time, hospital expenses, severe infection, wound healing and quality of life. Results In the observa-tion group The duration of wound healing was (35. 39 ± 2. 40) days, the hospitalization time (38. 43 ± 3. 21) d, the cost of hospitalization (2. 84 ± 0. 31) and and in the control group they were (46. 48 ± 3. 47 ) d and (48. 46 ± 4. 57 ),respectively (P 〈 0. 05 ). The wound healing rate in the observation group was 97. 96% , which was significantly higher than that in the control group (85. 71% , P 〈 0. 05 ). The wound healing rate was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group (P 〈 0. 05 ). There was no significant difference in the quality of life between the two groups before treatment (P 〉0. 05). The scores of the quality of life of the two groups were significantly higher than those before treatment (P 〈 0. 05 ) , and the scores of the two groups were significantly higher than the control group (P 〈 0. 05 ) . Conclusion The treatment of diabetes mellitus is effective in the treatment of diabetic foot, which shortens the recovery time of patients, re-duces the hospitalization time and the serious infection rate, and significantly improves the wound healing rate and the quality of life. It is worthy of clinical application.
