摘 要:基于中国202家商业银行年度财务数据,采用流动性创造指标衡量银行流动性,研究竞争与中国商业银行流动性创造之间的关系。结果发现:市场集中度越高的银行,流动性创造越高,竞争对银行流动性创造有显著的负向影响;银行竞争度增加1%,则流动性减少2.4817%;竞争对资产负债表中资产方流动性创造的影响远大于对负债方的影响。研究还发现:在风险承担能力越小、风险越大的银行和资产总量越小的银行中,竞争对流动性创造的影响越大。Based on the annual financial data of 202 commercial banks in China, this paper examines the relationship between competition and bank liquidity creation by using liquidity crea- tion indicator to measure the liquidity of banks. Results show that the higher the market concentra- tion, the stronger the bank liquidity. This indicates that competition has significant negative effect on bank liquidity. Every 1% increase of bank competition leads ,to 2.4817% decrease in liquidi- ty. The impact of competition on the liquidity creation of the asset side in the balance sheet is much greater than on the liability side. The study also finds out that in banks with lower risk - tak- ing ability and higher risks, or the banks with smaller volume of total assets, competition has grea- ter influences on the liquidity creation of the banks.
