摘  要:中国近代保险业是在外商的影响刺激下形成并发展起来的。本文通过分析1912-1919年《申报》保险广告的类型,梳理民国初年上海保险业的发展概况,认为华商保险公司一方面与外商保险公司竞争抗衡,一方面又与对方一起共同促进了上海社会经济的发展。The emergement and development of China's modem insurance industry is under the influence and stimulation of foreign in- vestors, modem Shanghai's insurance industry is also true. In order to seize the market and expand its influence, both the Chinese and for- eign insurance industry, to advertise as a means of propaganda, the influential Shenbao has become the first choice. The types and contents of insurance advertisements pubhshed between 1912 and 1919 show the different dimensions of the development of Shanghai's insurance industry during this period, which was also an important historical data for the study of modem Shanghai's insurance industry.
