摘　　要：本研究源于对中国近代海外留学生经济思想的长期关注。刘大中先生于1940年获得美国康奈尔大学经济学博士学位,在计量经济学、国民收入估算、宏观经济方法等领域卓有成就,是最早纳入美国主流的华裔经济学家之一。在系统梳理中国大陆、中国台湾以及美国三地学者的相关研究之后,本文选取刘大中先生在《美国经济评论》上发表的五篇论文作为主要研究对象,试图从一个侧面管窥刘大中先生的经济思想和学术贡献,同时也试图反映出国际学术界在同一时期较为关注的重大主题及其对于中国学术界的影响,并由此反思中国经济发展过程中出现的种种问题,以史为鉴。This research is derived from a long term concern for the overseas Chinese student economic thought in modern times.Liu Ta-Chung received his Ph.D.in economics from Cornell University in 1940 and made outstanding achievements in the fields of econometrics,national income estimation,macroeconomic methods and so on.He was one of the first Chinese economists to be included in the mainstream academia of the United States.After combing related literature from China's Mainland,Taiwan and the United States,this essay selects Liu's five papers published in American Economic Review as the main subject,trying to find out his economic thought and academic contributions from one aspect,while also trying to reflect the major theme of the international academia in the same period and understand its effect on Chinese academia.All in all,this research rethinks the problems in the process of China's economic development and draws lessons from historical experience.
