摘  要:文章简要回顾近代中医针灸在美国所出现的"三次高潮",重点介绍美国针灸的发展现状,通过对其医疗、教育、执照考试、立法及保险、科研、交流与合作等各方面的探讨,以期了解中国针灸在美国的发展现况。经过40多年的发展,针灸已成为美国补充与替代医学中不可或缺的疗法,得到美国民众的普遍认可,针灸的医疗范围越来越广,教育体系日臻完善,执照考试趋于规范,法律制度逐渐完善,医疗保险循序覆盖,科研项目不断增加,中美交流与合作日益深化。随着中美两国政府间的高度重视,针灸和中医药文化交流的深入开展,相信针灸在美国的发展必将日益繁荣壮大。This paper briefly reviewed the "three acupuncture waves" in the United States, and focused on the development of A- merican acupunctm'e and moxibution in all aspects of the health, education, license and examination, legislation and insurance, research, communication and cooperation, so as to illuminate the current situation of Chinese acupuncture and moxibution in the United states. After 40 years of development, acupuncture and moxlbution have become an indispensable therapy in the American complementary and alternative medicine, which has been widely recognized by the American people. Acupuncture and moxibution are more and more broadly used; the education system is getting better and better; the licensing examination tends to be standard- ized; the legal system is gradually perfected; the medical insurance has an equal coverage; scientific research projects continue to increase ; the exchanges and cooperation between China and the United States are increasingly deepening. With high attention to the Chinese and American governments, in-depth development of acupuncture and moxibution in traditional Chinese medicine cul- tural exchanges, the acupuncture and moxibution in the United States are bound to become increasingly prosperous and strong.
