摘　　要：音乐是人类创造的灿烂文化,与人们的生活、工作、学习息息相关。将音乐引进图书馆,选择适宜的音乐用作图书馆的背景音乐,对开发读者智力、拓展读者思路、激发读者灵感、提高工作学习效率,以及提升读者的精神境界和道德修养等,都具有积极的促进意义。南京林业大学图书馆就背景音乐播放的相关问题进行了问卷调查,了解到读者对背景音乐风格的偏好和选择,从而制定出适合图书馆背景音乐播放的总体方案,以及不同时段和场所背景音乐播放曲目的体裁及风格类型组合,以更好地满足广大读者的需求,让图书馆在适宜的背景音乐声中成为读者学习工作的理想场所。Music is a brilliant part of the culture created by human beings. It is closely related to people＇s life, work and study. If the appropriate music is played in a university library, it can help the readers to develop their intelligence, expand their thinking, and spark their inspiration. It can also help improve the efficiency of their work and study, or motivate them to improve their mental state and raise their moral. Questionnaire surveys were made in our university recently on library background music, and from the data collected we learned of what styles of music were most popular ones. Using the information, the music＇s theme and genre combination was worked out to better satisfy the readers＇ needs. This will also help the library become the one of the most popular places for studying and working.
