Characteristics of Journals for Regional Research in the World

摘　　要：通过检索美国科学引文索引(SCI)、社会科学引文索引(SSCI)、工程索引(EI)、Scopus等国际期刊数据库以及相关学术组织网站中列举的国际地理期刊,整理和分析国际上区域研究期刊的基本信息,包括刊名、检索收录机构、刊期、出版机构、创刊年份和期刊网站六大基本信息。截至2016年,全球已有20个国家共出版了52种专门刊发区域研究的期刊。其中,12种区域研究期刊被SSCI收录。区域研究期刊的语种涵盖中文、英文、日文、法文、德文、俄文、波兰文、意大利文、西班牙文、葡萄牙文10种文字。最后,分析了区域研究期刊快速发展的主要原因。This paper conducts research on international major journals based on journal index databases, such as SCI, SSCI, EI, Scopus, and websites of Science Association, and examines the basic information of re- gional journals in the world, including journal titles, periodicals in citation index, periodicals, host countries, pub- lishers, start year, and journal website. In 2016, 20 countries published 52 regional research journals. Twelve of the regional research journals were included in SSCI, and the rest were national journals that focused on regional development. The languages of the regional research journals covered 10 languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Russian, Polish, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. The paper also analyzes the reasons for the rapid development of regional research journals.
