摘 要:该研究采用语料库语言学方法,系统分析了两个学科中外学者学术文本中评价词语形式的使用特点。研究发现:(1)学术论文中高频使用含that限定从句、含不定式分句的评价形式,前者使用更频繁,物理学科评价词语形式使用显著高于语言学;(2)评价形式主要实施4类语篇行为,语言学论文中表模糊限制功能的形式频数显著高于物理学科;(3)评价形式句法形式和语篇行为共选关系的分析发现,中外学者采用同一形式、所实施的语篇行为侧重点不同。In this paper I explore the notion of writers ' attitude in native and non-native (Chinese) scholars ' academic writing by examining the use of evaluative pattern in a comparable corpus comprising of journal research articles from the fields of Linguistics and Physics. The quantitative analysis shows that it-clause + that-clause and it-clause + to-infinitive patterns are frequently used in academic writing, with the former significantly more frequent, and physicists use evaluative patterns significantly more frequent than linguists. The results of qualitative analysis indicate that evaluative patterns perform four important speech acts of hedging, attitude marking, emphasizing and inferring in academic writing and linguists prefer to hedge propositions or attitudes with evaluative patterns more often than physicists. The co-selection between evaluative patterns and discourse acts, however, demonstrates that native-speaking and Chinese-speaking writers prefer to apply same patterns to realize different acts.
