摘　　要：骈体小说是我国特有的一种小说文体,它脱胎于中国古代的骈文,具有柔靡绮丽、抑扬顿挫的美学特征。民国初年骈体小说的创作出现了一个短暂的高潮时期,但在"五四"之后骈体小说逐渐走向消亡。具体来说,骈体小说消亡的原因主要在于其自身内容的重复、发行媒介的制约和白话文学的冲击。The parallel novel is a kind of novel style which is unique to our country. It is born out of the ancient Chinese parallel prose,which has the aesthetic characteristics of soft and beautiful. In the early years of the Republic of China,the creation of the parallel body novel appeared a brief climax period,but after the May 4th Movement,the parallel body novel gradually went to the demise.Specifically,the reason for the demise of the parallel body novel lies mainly in the repetition of its own content,the restriction of the distribution medium and the impact of the vernacular literature.
