摘　　要：左宗棠是近代中国的一位政治家、军事家、战略家,具有杰出的军事才能,维护了祖国的统一、捍卫了民族的尊严。但其政治家身份很少被人提起,所以也较少专门研究其政治思想的文章。其实,左宗棠首先是一位政治家。因此,拟从其政治理想的形成、政权思想、民族思想和地缘政治思想四个方面进行探索,以勾勒和还原左宗棠作为政治家的真实面目。ZUO Zongtang is a politician, militarist and strategist in modern China. However, because of his outstanding military service to maintain the unity of the motherland and defend the dignity of the nation, ZUO Zongtang9 s politician status is rarely mentioned in a long time. Therefore there is few special studies on his political ideology. In this paper, the author thinks that ZUO Zongtang is a politi-cian firstly, and then explores the true features of ZUO Zongtang as a politician from four aspects of ZUO＇s political ideals, regime thoughts, national thoughts and geopolitical thoughts.
