Objective To establish a kind of detrusor instability(DI)bladder model for female dogs and test changes of urodynamics. Methods 8 beagle dogs were treated with urethra cerclage through external urethral orifice under general anesthesia. Urodynamic test was performed at 3 and 6 months after surgery. Results The time required for the establishment of the animal model was about 13~22min,and average time was about(15.7±3.9)min. Urodynamic data before surgery showed the maximum detrusor pressure(MDP)was(34.729±2.7699),maximum bladder capacity(MCC)was(91.286±7.6095),maximum bladder compliance(MBC)was(4.067±0.6038);Urodynamic test data at 3 months after surgery showed the maximum detrusor pressure(MDP)was(36.700±3.6815),and maximum bladder capacity(MCC)was(100.143±9.2453),and maximum bladder compliance(MBC)was(3.319±0.6257). The maximal compliance(MBC)was statistically significantly different before and after operation. Conclusion There are some advantages about detrusor instability bladder model in female dogs such as simple operation and small trauma, and this model can provide a solution for the treatment of overactive bladder in the future.
