摘　　要：就社会公平这个主要的社会经济议题,厘清其理论概念,回顾中国特有的"经济国家"历史时期社会科学与社会经济发展及累积的问题之间的关系。在经济实力大幅增长同时社会问题倍受关注的新形势下,政府职能与政策的转型更成为一个核心课题。通过梳理经济学主要流派的影响,并考察其与公共政策以及社会不公问题之间的关系来加以阐明"后经济国家"时代社会科学研究的责任。Based on previous discussion （Chen, 2009）, this paper further examines ChinaJs development from a historical and international perspective by focusing on a main issue of social inequity/injustice. It reflects on the rela- tionship between social sciences and China^s socioeconomic development with accumulation of various problems dur- ing the historical, characteristic period of an ＂economic state＂. The transformation of government functions and poli- cies are again at the center of consideration in view of the dramatic improvement of the country＇s economic situation with mounting concerns over pressing social issues. Challenges to social sciences research in the ＂post-economic state＂ era are discussed by reviewing the influence of major schools of economics.
