摘　　要：蔡和森是中国共产党早期的杰出领导人之一,是伟大的无产阶级革命家、政治家、理论家,也是中共党史研究的第一人。他撰写的《中国共产党史的发展》、《党的机会主义史》、《论陈独秀主义》等文章或报告,不仅生动地记述了党的早期革命史,而且深入分析了中国共产党的性质、使命、纲领及其产生的历史背景和历史必然性,并对党内各种机会主义尤其是陈独秀的右倾机会主义的性质、表现、产生根源及其危害进行了深刻的剖析,为中共党史研究做作出了巨大的贡献。Cai Hesen,a great revolutionary proletarian, statesman and theorist, was one of the out- standing leaders in the early history of the Communist Party of China （CPC）. He was also the first person to study the history of CPC. He wrote some classical articles and reports, such as ＂The History of Communist Party＇s Development＂ ＂The History of Party Opportunism＂ ＂On Chen Duxiu＇s Doctrine＂. Not only did he describe CPC＇s early revolution vividly, he also incisively analyzed the nature, mission, platform of CPC and its historical background as well as historical inevitability. He researched all kinds of opportunism within the party, especially the nature of Chen＇s right opportunism, which was profoundly analyzed in terms of its performances, causes and harms. In conclusion, he has made tremendous Contributions to the research of CPC history.
