摘　　要：人口老龄化是当今世界很多国家面临的重大人口问题之一。作为社会公益性文化教育机构的图书馆亦应对老年读者服务问题予以特别的关注。文章概述了国内外老年读者服务开展现状,并从加强设施建设,扩充馆藏资源,重视人文关怀,打造特色服务等方面提出了改善老年读者服务的建议。Aging of population is one of the major problems in many countries in the world. As the public culture infrastructure, the library should pay particular concern about the library service for older adults. This paper sum- marizes the present situation of the library service for older adults at home and abroad and suggests that the library should strengthen the infrastructure construction, extend resource collections, value the humane concern and offer special service to improve the library service for older adults.
