摘　　要：民国时期,一批留美博士以中国边疆问题为主题撰写博士论文,其研究重点主要集中于西藏、东北两地。他们以满足美国学界中国研究的需要、纠正其误解为目的,注重多种现代学术方法和中西材料的综合运用,强调边疆问题的重要性,并积极探寻解决方案。其研究成果既是美国远东问题研究的重要组成部分,也是利用现代学术方法实现中国边疆学研究本土化的积极努力。During the period of the Republic of China, a group of doctors stayed in the United States wrote doctoral dissertations on the subject of China＇s frontier issues. The research focused on two aspects, Tibet and northeast china. To satisfy the needs of Chinese study in American academic circles and correct its misunderstandings are the important topics. They stressed the importance of frontier issues and actively explored solutions, focusing on the use of a variety of modem academic methods and the integration of Chinese and Western materials. Their study are not only an important part of the American study on the Far East, but also an active effort to localize China＇s frontier studies by modem academic methods.
