Objective To explore the feasibility of the cross negative pressure drainage tube in preventing fat liquefaction for thoracic incision. Methods A retrospective analysis of 168 cases who had high risk factors for fat liquefaction and treated by thoracic surgery from January 2016 to January 2017 in the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University which divided into the catheter group and no tube group. To analyze the effectives of two treatment methods,by observing the fat liquefaction rate, foreign body sensation incidence, incision healing time, postoperative hospitalization and other indicators. Results The postoperative fat liquefaction rate, incision healing time and postoperative hospitalization time in the catheterization group were lower than that of the no control group, the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). The catheterization group had lower incidence of fat liquefaction. The catheter group were shorter in incision healing time, postoperative hospitalization. But the incidence of foreign body sensation in two groups was not statistically significan(tP0.05). Conclusion The cross negative pressure drainage tube in preventing fat liquefaction for thoracic incision is feasible and safe. So it has certain application value.
