摘　　要："阶级"是马克思主义理论的基本范畴,是20世纪中国政治文化与社会生活的关键词之一。从概念史视角考察"阶级"在1920年前《共产党宣言》译文中的原初指涉与多元化表达,可以发现,这一概念经历了不同文化间的语义旅行,在偏移原初内涵的同时与中国文化、中国实际相结合,获得了中国化的语义。此外,在《宣言》实现文本中国化的过程中,"阶级"概念的社会功能经历了从服务于等级协作的封建礼制到彰显社会分化的嬗变。＂Class＂ is a basic category in Marxist theory, and it was one of the key words in twentieth-century Chinese political culture and social life. An investigation, from the perspective of conceptual history, of the initial meaning and the numerous expressions of ＂class＂ in the translation of The Manifesto of the Communist Party prior to 1920 reveals that the concept underwent semantic changes within various cultures. It deviated from its initial meaning and combined with Chinese culture and reality to produce its Chinese meaning. In addition, the social function of the concept of ＂class＂ proceeded from the feudal ritual system, which served as a level of collabora- tion, to demonstrate the evolution of social differentiation in the process of achieving the Sinification of the text of The Manifesto of the Communist Party.
