摘 要:新发现《史学研究法》提供了认识柳诒徵早年史学思想的极佳文本。柳氏史学除了继承本土资源之外,深受日本学术界的影响。先行研究把柳氏简单笼统归为旧派,未必妥当。他在伦理道德层面确实守旧,但治学却属新派做法。新派由于不认同他的伦理观,进而否定其学术,刻意把他塑造成信古形象,导致他在史学实践方面积极融入新潮流的面相被遮蔽和扭曲。柳氏成名甚晚,至40余岁对史学方法尚没有清晰的观念,以掇拾日人之说为主。嗣后,创学会办刊物,影响力迅速提升,他的《中国文化史》不断被"神化",《国史要义》亦存在自我炒作的嫌疑。柳氏个人性格并非如自我标榜那样谦和,颇有争胜之心,自负非常。他一生都揪住梁启超不放,或与他自视极高而又成名甚晚所致的复杂心理状态有关。New discovery about 'The Method of History'provides an excellent version to know Liu Yizheng's historical thought in the early days.Liu's historiography was deeply influenced by Japanese academia except inheriting local resources.Prior researcher classified Liu as the old school,which may be not appropriate.His moral and ethical truly belonged to the old school,but his scholarship belonged to the practice of new school.New school disagreed with his ethical value and denied his learning,deliberately shaping him into an Approve Antiquity image.It caused the fact that he actively blended into the new trend in history study was covered and twisted.Liu became famous very late,and had no clear idea of history method until he was almost 50 years old,chiefly picking up doctrines from Japanese.Later on,he established institutes and hold periodicals,leading to his rapidly lifted influence.He had quite a competitive idea and rather self-conceited,not as modest as what he proclaimed.Through his whole life,He had sized Liang Qichao,which perhaps had something to do with his complex psychology caused by the high self-regard but too late a big-timer.
