多模态翻译的符际特征研究——以《习近平谈治国理政》为中心

摘　　要：《习近平谈治国理政》英文版(简称《治理》)的45幅插图富含图像、文本和色彩等元素,具备显著的多模态翻译特征。研究结合多模态翻译理论框架和多模态话语分析框架,从文化、语境、内容和表达四个层面系统考察《治理》的多模态符际翻译特征。《治理》多模态翻译不仅展现出互文和隐喻的符际特征,而且塑造出中国亲仁善邻、爱好和平与大国风范的形象,同时建构出中国国家领导人主动自信、纵横捭阖和求真务实的形象。研究对于如何"讲好中国故事,传播好中国声音"提供了一定的借鉴。The 45 illustrations of the English version of Xi Jinping： the Governance of China （abbreviated as The Governance） are rich in elements such as image, text and color, and have significant muhimodal translation characteristics. On the basis of the muhimodal translation theory framework and muhimodal discourse analysis framework, this paper investigates the multimodal intersemiotic translation characteristics of ＂governance＂ from four levels, specifically, culture, context, content and expression. It is argued that first, the multimodal translation of The Governance exhibits the intersemiotic features of intertextuality and metaphor. Second, it builds China＇s benevolent and peace -loving image as a great power. Last, it constructs the initiative, confident, respectable and pragmatic image of China＇s leaders. This study is believed to provide certain reference for how to effectively ＂tell China＇s good stories and soread China＇s good voices＂.
