摘　　要：建设创新型国家需要海量的创新型工程人才,厘清工程师与创新之间的关联成为当务之急。首先,本文从工程与创新概念的界定出发,探究工程的实质是创新;然后,论述工程过程的科学与技术、技术与创新的双桥梁作用和工程师的创新职能,阐明工程师是创新的主力军、创新能力是现代工程师的核心能力。Building an innovation-oriented country needs massive innovative engineering talents.It is therefore urgent to clarify the relationship between engineers and innovation.Through defining engineering and innovation,the paper firstly states that the essence of the engineering is innovation.Then,the paper discusses science-technology and technology-innovation relations in the engineering process.It also analyzes the innovation function of engineers.Subsequently,the paper points out that engineer is the main force of innovation,and innovation ability is the core competence of engineers.
