摘　　要：哈密瓜类型甜瓜新品种‘苏甜4号’是以2个稳定的高代自交系‘M-43’和‘M-50’配组而成的杂交1代厚皮甜瓜新品种。该品种株型中等偏疏,生长势较强,耐逆性较强,抗病性中等;熟性早,全生育期为110 d左右,果实发育期40 d左右,易坐果,一致性好。果实椭圆形,果皮白色,稀网纹,单瓜质量1.69 kg;果肉浅橙色,肉厚4.0 cm;中心可溶性固形物含量14.9%,边部含量9.0%;肉质脆,口感好;耐贮运性强,平均667 m^2产量2 592.65 kg。适合在江苏省及其周围地区早春保护地栽培。Hami melon type ＇Sutian No. 4＇ is a new F1 hybrid melon by crossing ＇M-43＇ as female parent and ＇M-50＇ as male parent. The plant is slightly open and grows strongly with strong resistance to stress and moderate resistance to disease. The whole growth period is 110 days and the fruit development period is about 40 days. The fruit is easy to set with good con- sistency and early maturity. The fruit is oval, with white peel and sparse nets. The fruit flesh is light orange and the flesh thickness is 4.0 cm with excellent storage capacity. The center soluble solid content is 14.9% and the edge soluble solid con- tent is 9.0%. The fruit tastes crisp and juicy. The single fruit weight is 1.69 kg and per 667 m2 yield is 2 592.65 kg. It is suit- able for early spring growing under protected cultivation in Jiangsu province and surrounding areas.
