论《黑暗的心》中的身体意象与身体的政治

摘　　要：身体在康拉德的小说《黑暗的心》中构成了复杂的身体意象。这些意象使身体不再是单纯的生物实体,而是经由权力的介入被打上了深刻的政治印记,并作为西方世界和非西方世界交锋的一个特定的场域出现。身体不再是自在的存在,而是被寄居其中或强加其上的权力意识支配,沦为被占有、被盗用的状态并成为受驱使的工具,使加害者和受害者的身体或主动或被动地沦为服务于殖民征服的工具。本文认为从身体的政治角度出发可以发现身体(无论是白人殖民者的身体还是土著黑人的身体)被运作、被型塑、被控制的方式,进而揭露权力对身体施加的暴力。Complicated body images are constructed in Conrad＇s Heart of Darkness, which makes body far more than a biological entity, but becomes a space where the western world and non-western world come into conflict, and an area which is politically hallmarked by the intervention of power. As a result, body is no longer itself, it is dominated by the power imposed on it, reduced to be a possessed instrument, appropriated to serve colonialism, no matter whether it is the body of the victimizing or the body of the vic- timized. Thus looking into the body from the perspective of politics will likely reveal how body is manipu- lated and controlled by power, and further to disclose the brutal impacts of power on body.
