基于语料库的英语近义词语义韵对比研究——以PROVIDE、OFFER和SUPPLY为例

摘　　要：采用"中间语对比分析"法,通过在线检索和Ant Conc3.2.2w软件检索,比较了英国国家语料库(BNC)和中国学习者英语语料库(CLEC)中PROVIDE、OFFER和SUPPLY的搭配现象和语义韵倾向。研究发现,学习者在这三个近义词的使用上产生了不同程度的语义韵冲突,在区别近义词的搭配行为和语义韵特征上存在困难。通过比较旨在为中国英语学习者提供更好的办法来进行近义词辨析,同时为英语教学,尤其是词汇教学等工作提供一些启示。Adopting the method of Contrastive Interlanguage Analysis,this paper compares the collocational behavior and semantic prosodies of PROVIDE,OFFER and SUPPLY in the British National Corpus（BNC）and the Chinese Learners English Corpus（CLEC）. The study shows that near synonyms differ in their collocational behavior and semantic prosody,and there exists prosodic clash in learners＇ English. This paper aims to present a better way to discriminate English synonyms for Chinese English learners and provide some implications for English teaching,especially for lexical teaching.
