摘　　要：与猪、禽等比较,羊的繁殖性能差,生长性能低,不是理想的产肉动物。养羊效益低下,以亏损为主,站位劣于肉牛业。然而,羊业能有效利用饲草资源,且羊肉属上佳肉食,因此羊业不会消失。养羊的根本目的是利用饲草资源,但必须遵循"以草定畜"原则,因地制宜,合理确定各地的养羊规模。In this paper sheep is considered as a lower - effective meat - productive farrm animal because of its poor perforrm-ances in the reproduction and growth, compared with other species such as swine and poultry.conomic efficiency or deficit , worse than beef industry dose. However , sheep production sources ,and supply^ with delicious mutton , so it will be going on. The substantial purpose of sheep production is aimed to uti-lization of grass resources , but it must follow the principle of a Forage - livestock Balance” in line with local conditions , rea-sonably or properly determining the scales of the local sheep production.
