摘　　要：在学术国际化的浪潮中,如何处理英语与母语之间的关系,是困扰日本学术界的一个重要问题。为扩大国际学术影响力,日本在学术领域推行鼓励"英语化"的政策。日本人文社会科学领域的学者对"英语化"的必要性持肯定态度,也有部分学者意识到了"英语化"的负面影响。因此,在推动"英语化"的同时,日本学术界已开始重视保护母语在学术领域的地位,建立了"翻译出版中心""文化信息网络"和"翻译培养制度",并将三者有机结合,以期在提高本国学术国际影响力的同时,建构以日本为中心的"亚洲学术共同体"。此类经验对我国在学术国际化中处理英语与中文的关系,具有借鉴意义。In the trend of academic internationalisation,the academia in Japan is faced with the task of balancing the use of English and that of the mother tongue.Japan has carried out the policy of Anglicisation in the academic community for enhancing its academic influence in the international community.Most Japanese scholars of the humanities and social sciences usually have a positive attitude towards Anglicisation,but some of them have also noticed the negative impacts of Anglicisation.Thus,while promoting the process of Anglicisation,Japanese scholars have attached importance to the protection of their mother tongue in the academic community and integrated their＂Translation Publication Center＂,＂Cultural Information Network＂and ＂Translator-training System＂as well as the establishment of＂Academic Community of Asia＂with Japan in the lead,which has much enlightening significance to our handling the relations between English and Chinese.
