摘　　要：乔治·艾略特是英国19世纪享誉文坛的哲理性女作家,给英国文学留下璀璨的艺术瑰宝。其人本宗教道德的艺术表现在英国的文学史上独树一帜,被认为是英国维多利亚时代的伦理道德象征。通过简述乔治·艾略特的人生经历,分析其主要的代表作品,探究其对"人本宗教"道德的艺术表现。George Eliot, a famous English writer in the 19th century, has left brilliant artistic treasure for British literature. Her artistic expression on the morality or humanistic religion is unique in the history of English literature and is considered to be an ethical symbol of the British Victorian Era. This paper, by sketching George Eliot’s life experience, analyzes her main representative works and explores the artistic expression of “humanistic religion”.
