摘　　要：司各特在历史小说的创作生涯中,善于将历史和小说有机地结合起来,不仅丰富了历史小说的内容,而且还精确地揭示了特定历史时期的风土人情及面貌,完美地表达了自己关于历史的看法和观点。《艾凡赫》作为司各特众多历史小说中的独特代表,不仅反映了作者本人出色的创作手法,同时透过作品中关于广泛社会生活的描写,凸显了复杂的社会矛盾,深刻揭示了时代发展的特点和历史趋势,引人入胜。Scott is good at combining history and novel organically to enrich the content of historical novels but to accurately reveal the customs and appearance in a particular historical period and perfectly express his views and ideas on history. Ivanhoe, as the unique representative among Scott’s many historical novels, reflects the author’s own excellent writing techniques, highlights the complicated social contradictions through describing the broad social life works, and profoundly reveals the characteristics of the Times and the historical trend with its fascinating plots.
