摘　　要：清末云南内忧外患,边警频传,遭遇严重的边疆危机。屏边人万凌霄愤然题写"岩疆锁钥"以警示乡民戍守边关,抵御外侮;并通过实际行动努力践行保家卫国的人生理想。致仕后又著书立说,抒发其忧国忧民和戍守边疆的爱国情怀。During the last years of Qing Dynasty,Yunnan Province,Southwest China,met challenges from both inside and outside.Threats of the French emerged from the borderlands.Pingbian County which is strategically located at the south gate of Yunnan was the stronghold against French aggression.Since France had taken the privilege of railroad construction between Vietnam and Southwest China,Pingbian County has been guarding the south entrance of Yunnan to stop the advance of the French rails.Wan Lingxiao,a local squire,wrote'Yanjiangsuoyao',which means'key to the rock solid borderlands',to encourage his fellow countrymen to defend their homeland.Based on this background,the article presents a brief summary of Wan Lingxiao's life to honor his patriotism and loyal determination of guarding the borderlands.
