摘　　要：阐明书刊编辑对于标准的规定,不仅要知道应当怎样做,而且要知道为什么要那样做(即不仅要知其然,而且要知其所以然)的原因;介绍探寻标准所以那样规定的理由的办法和途径;通过实例说明标准所以那样规定的"理由"。建议编辑同人通过多种形式的讨论和交流,加深对标准条款的理解,自觉地学习并贯彻执行标准,不断提高编辑业务水平。For the editorial standards,book and journal editors should not only to know but also why they are formulated,as illuminated in this article.Methods of exploring why the standards are formulated are introduced with examples.It is recommended to editors discuss and communicate through various ways in order to deepen the understanding of these standards terms and study and further implement them.The professional skill of editors could therefore be improved unceasingly.
