摘　　要：Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province is situated at the southeast edge of the QinghaiTibet Plateau and at the intersection between the north flank of the Hengduan mountains and the high mountain valley area in northwestern Sichuan.About 536 thousand ethnic Tibetans are living in this area,accounting for 58.Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province is situated at the southeast edge of the QinghaiTibet Plateau and at the intersection between the north flank of the Hengduan mountains and the high mountain valley area in northwestern Sichuan.About 536 thousand ethnic Tibetans are living in this area,accounting for 58.4 percent of the total local population. Since the founding of this prefecture in 1965, the agricultural and animal husbandry economy here has been in stable development while transportation and telecommunication are keeping abreast with advancements in the people＇s livelihoods.
