摘　　要：复杂系统理论是国际应用语言学界提出的新型理论范式,该理论着眼于二语发展诸多因素的相互影响与作用,主张融认知观和社会观于一体,从复杂性、动态性、非线性、变异性等多维视角,研究二语发展的本质和过程。在复杂系统理论视角下,语言是一个复杂、开放、自组织、自适应系统,该系统包含了语音、词汇、句法、语篇等子系统,它们之间的交互作用和影响引起了语言的动态发展;"二语习得"的过程是"二语发展"的过程,该过程中的复杂性、非线性、变异性、初始条件敏感性等特性集中展现了二语动态发展的真实轨迹。Complex System Theory is a new theory paradigm in international applied linguistic domain which emphasizes the interactive influences of multiple factors in second language development and claims the u- nity of cognitive and social views and study on the nature and process of second language development from the multidimensional perspectives, such as complexity, dynamics, non-linearity and variability. Under Complex System Theory, language is a complex, open, self-organized and self-adaptive system which contains many sub- systems, such as phonetics, vocabulary, syntax and discourse, and it is these subsystems＇ mutual interactions and influences that give rise to the dynamic development of language. ＂Second language acquisition＂ is a process of ＂second language＂ development in which such features as complexity, non-linearity, variability, sensitivity to initial conditions etc. can fully display the true trajectory of second language dynamic development.
