摘　　要：医学期刊为学者提供学术交流平台,并能永久记录研究成果。编辑在这个出版过程中起到至关重要的作用。编辑应具有广博的专业知识、相应的科研或临床背景、良好的职业操守、较强的文字表达能力和沟通能力等。他们的这些知识、技能和行为对提高期刊的学术质量必不可少。Objective Medical academic journals are important because they provide means of communication and permanent record.Journal editors play pivotal roles in the process of publishing.Editors should have not only a wide range of professional knowledge,background of scientific research or clinical experience,but also strong sense of responsibility,good ability of written skills and excellent communication with people.Knowledge,skill and behavior of editors are necessary in improving academic quality of medical journal.
