摘　　要：尤金·奥尼尔是美国20世纪最重要的戏剧家,他的戏剧有着浓郁的诗性特征,而继承并发展象征主义的表达方式是他的戏剧诗性特质的最重要表现。整体来看,奥尼尔戏剧的象征艺术呈现出自传性、仪式性、心理性等特点。Eugene O ＊ Neill, one of the most important dramatists of the 20th century in the United States, embodies a rich poetic character in his drama. Inheriting and developing symbolism is the most important manifestation of his poetic traits of drama. On the whole, the symbolic art in O ’ Neill ’ s plays tends to be of autobiographical, ritualistic and psychological characteristics.
