摘　　要：《爱药》在美国印第安文学中处于重要地位,作者书写了居留地两个印第安家族,全方位呈现了印第安本土文化、外来白人文化的交织和碰撞,印第安人心灵的迷惘及对不公的抗争,以及努力找回民族之根,全面彰显了"爱药"丰富内涵。人们通过《爱药》,能全面触碰印第安人的历史,作者厄德里克除了客观呈现真实历史事件外,通过塑造两个印第安家族,借助叙事、象征手法,诠释了历史。所以,探索《爱药》中印第安人的生存困境及民族之根的回归,有助于提高印第安文学及文化的理解水平。＂Love Medicine＂ is an important position in American Literature in Indian, the author has written two Indian family residence, presents a full range of Indian native culture and exotic white culture interweave and collide, and fight against the Indians lost heart injustice, and to find the root of the nation, fully demonstrated ＂love the rich connotation of medicine＂. People through the ＂Love Medicine＂, can touch the history of the Indian author Maher Derek, in addition to the objective presentation of real historical events, by building two Indian family, with the help of narration, symbolism and interpretation of history. Therefore, exploring the plight of Indians living in the ＂Love Medicine＂ and the return of the roots of the nation will help to improve the understanding of literature and culture in Indian.
