摘　　要：拜伦式英雄与海明威式英雄既有相似之处又存在巨大差异,这与作者、时代的关系问题构成文学"外部研究"的经典案例。本文比较拜伦式英雄与海明威式英雄,批驳学界对拜伦式英雄形象的错误分析,在此基础上论述两类英雄形象的性格差异并探究原因,总结了英雄形象与时代的关系。There are similarities and huge difference between Byronic Hero and Hemingway Hero. The re-lationship between two types of heroic images and author、 era is a typical case of external research. Thispaper makes a comparison of Byronic Hero and Hemingway Hero and it criticizes some wrong explanationabout Byronic Hero. The difference between two types of heroic images and the influential factors are alsodiscussed. And at last the relationship between heroic images and era is summarized.
