摘  要:采用熔融淬冷法制备了铥镱掺杂铝锗酸盐玻璃,表征了热离子交换玻璃样品的波导折射率分布和红外光谱参量。实验结果表明,钾钠热离子交换可将铝锗酸盐玻璃制成平面光学波导,在380℃下钾钠离子交换的有效扩散系数为0.070μm^2/min。Judd-Ofelt强度参数分别为5.36×10^(-20)、1.44×10^(-20)和0.92×10^(-20) cm^2,反映出铝锗酸盐玻璃中铥离子周围环境具有较高的反演非对称性和较强的共价性。在975nm激光泵浦下可观察到有效的铥离子1.8μm处3F4→3 H6近红外发射,最大受激发射截面为5.77×10^(-21) cm^2,理论增益值可达1.95dB/cm。有效的近红外荧光发射和稳定的波导性能表明铥镱掺杂铝锗酸盐玻璃在医用紧凑波导型光源和激光雷达等领域具有潜在的应用价值。Tm3+/Yb3+ codoped aluminum germanate glasses were prepared by melt-quenching technique.The thermal ion-exchanged waveguide refractive index profile and infrared spectra parameters of the glasses were measured.The results revealed that aluminum germanate glass slab waveguide could be fabricated successfully by thermal K+-Na+ion-exchange method,and the effective diffusion constant was 0.070μm2/min at 380 ℃.Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters were 5.36×1020,1.44×1020 and 0.92×1020 cm2,indicating a high inversion asymmetric and covalent environment around Tm3+ in the optical glasses.Under the 975 nm laser,the maximum stimulated emission cross-section of the transition 3F4 →3H6 peaking at 1.8μm was derived to be 5.77×1021 cm2 and the ideal gain was 1.95dB/cm.Effective near-infrared fluorescence and perfect waveguide performance demonstrate that Tm3+/Yb3+ codoped aluminum germanate glasses are potential candidates in developing compact waveguide-typed medical light source and light detection and ranging(LIDAR).
