美国警务研究概况及其对我国警察教育的启示

摘　　要：美国的警务研究在1967年以后才得以迅速发展,由于特殊的司法体制,目前美国警务研究的成果主要发表于一些刑事司法类杂志。美国警务研究的主体,既包括大学或其他研究机构的专门研究人员,也包括警务执法机构的人员,前者偏向于学术性研究,后者偏向于实务研究。美国警务研究的对象是动态发展的,最早偏向于警务公正性的研究,目前则偏向于警务战略和警务专业技术的研究。美国警务研究的方法大体上可分为实证研究方法和纯理论研究方法,前者更能体现其学术性。美国高校刑事司法类专业对本科生研究能力的培养对警务研究的开展起到了重要作用,我国公安院校对学生也应加强研究能力的培养。The research on American policing had not developed so quickly until 1967.Because of its special judicial system, articles on America policing are mainly published in criminal justice journals. The main policing researchers include both faculty members who work in universities and other institutes and officers who work in law enforcement agencies. Compared with those who work in law enforcement agencies, faculty members prefer academic research to experimental research. The subjects of American policing research are changing dynamically. The main subject of research focused on the justness of policing in the early times, currently and nowadays policing strategy and technology are mainly subjects of policing research. Generally, the policing research methods can be divided into two categories, one of them is experimental research, the other is pure theoretical research The former can better reflect its academic level. Teaching research methodology in American criminal judicial colleges plays an important role in enhancing cadets＇ policing research competency. Accordingly we need to pay more attention to fostering Chinese students＇ ability of such kind..
