摘　　要：本文通过主要植棉条件的对比 ,阐述了新疆棉花生产的优势所在及其在国内外的地位 ;通过对市场供求分析和预测、植棉生态与流通体制问题的分析 ,以及对棉纺工业发展问题的探讨 ,提出了棉花生产的适度规模、宏观布局与流通体制改革的调控对策 ,以及棉花产业化的构想与模式。最后 。Xinjiang has been determined to be constructed as a production base of the high-quality cotton in China, and the Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region regards cotton as the superior resources and plans to construct Xinjiang into a large-sized production base of the high-quality cotton. The cotton production in Xinjiang, however, is seriously impacted by both the domestic and foreign cotton markets and prizes, and some vital problems occur in cotton production. In this paper, the superiority and the domestic and foreign positions of cotton production in Xinjiang are discussed by comparing the main cotton production conditions. The countermeasures for the suitable scale and the macro-distribution of cotton production as well as the reformation of the circulation system are put forward based on the prediction of cotton market supply-demand and on the analyses on the cotton growing ecology, the problems existing in the cotton circulation system, and the development of cotton textile industry. The conception and the developing mode of cotton industry are also put forward. The correct direction and the rational ways are suggested for achieving a sustainable development of cotton production in Xinjiang.
