摘　　要：1891年重庆正式对外开埠后,重庆金融业随着开埠而发展壮大起来。值得注意的是,传统金融与现代金融并不是两条平行线,它们之间有着千丝万缕的联系。传统金融业不断向现代金融的方向转化,至1937年全面抗战爆发前,重庆金融业虽仍以传统金融为主体,但在逐渐转型过程中明显体现出一系列现代化特征,不仅反映了中国西部城市走向经济金融现代化的发展历史,也折射出了西方列强不断深入中国内陆所产生的影响。After Chongqing's port opening in 1891,the city's financial industry has developed rapidly.It is noteworthy that the traditional financial industry and modern financial industry are closely interrelated:the traditional financial industry has kept transforming itself into a modern one.Before the outbreak of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression in 1937,Chongqing's financial industry,although generally a traditional one,possessed a series of modern characteristics,demonstrating the way of a city in western China to financial modernization and the impact of western powers' infiltration into China's inner regions.
