摘　　要：缔造美国神话是美国文学的主题之一。作为美国现代诗歌界五大巨擘之一的华莱士·斯蒂文斯意识到神话建构和现实社会之间的冲突,在诗歌中否定了人类征服自然的梦想,描绘了缔造伊甸园的困境,从而解构了美国神话。Constructing American myth is one of the main themes in American literature. Realizing the conflict between the construction of American myth and social reality,Wallace Stevens, one of five princes of modernist poets, denies the dream that mankind can conquer the nature, presents the difficulty of apotheosizing Eden and deconstructs the American myth.
