人格面具视域观照的扭曲心理——奥康纳短篇小说《善良的乡下人》探微

摘　　要：著名短篇小说《善良的乡下人》通过描绘较为典型的20世纪中期的美国南方的生活,运用具有讽刺意义的语言揭示了近乎封闭社会下看似善良的乡下人,揭露各位主角人格面具下隐藏的心理活动,并将其善良的外表与扭曲的内心作出对比,为小说出乎意料的结尾作出铺垫,突出小说主旨,即描述美国南方封闭生活的客观事实及现象引发对于外在因素和内在影响对个人心理影响的深思。同时将主人公的心理状态归因于美国社会发展初期南方落后的经济、文化以及他们的童年经历,从而进一步指出心灵健全的重要性。The famous short story,The Kind Villagers revealed typical characteristics of the south of the United States in the mid-twentieth century,such as seemingly kind-hearted country man,psychological activities hidden under the persona of the protagonist.Though the objective facts and phenomena of the closed life in the south of the United States,the story reflects the influence of external factors and internal influences on the individual’s psychology.At the same time,the psychological state of the protagonist is attributable to the backward economy,culture and their childhood experiences in the early days of the development of the United States,which further points out the importance of sound in mind.
