摘  要:《小学答问》是一部以章太炎旅日授小学期间的师生交流互动为基础,由章太炎编写的问答体语言文字学专著。据全书问题条例类型比率可知,该书的性质是章太炎立足汉字的产生与使用这两个不同的角度,对"字"与"语"的内涵所作出的考察与阐述。在答疑过程中,章氏以因声求义为主,以据形索义为辅,继承了清人以来形、音、义互求的训诂方法。Xiaoxuedawen, a philology treatise in Q & A genre by Zhang Taiyan, is bruit upon the discussions between Zhang and his students as he was teaching Historical Semantics in Japan. An analysis of the proportions of the "subjects on each group of Q & A suggested the theme of this book - the implications of "zi" and "yu" from the perspectives of both the origin and usage of a Chinese character. During his teaching, Zhang tended to trace meanings of a character through first its pronunciation and second its grapheme. Combining the grapheme, pronunciation and meaning of a character, this method for explaining meanings of ancient characters can date back to Qing Dynasty, and was carried forward by Zhang's research.
