摘　　要：20世纪,中国的传记作品大家辈出、浩如烟海,但探讨传记问题的文章并不多,研究传记文学的理论专著更是寥寥无几。在传记文学理论研究滞后的20世纪上半叶,王元出版了传记文学理论专著《传记学》。王元敏锐地把握传记文学研究的脉搏,融通中西、贯穿古今,以中西传记文学发展状况为参照,深入探讨了传记文学的相关理论问题,提出了自己独到深刻的见解。并且他突破了传统史传观念,提出了创造性的见解,把传记学作为一门学科来探索研究,开拓性地提出了"传记学"这一学科观念,具有一定的理论价值和意义,为现代传记文学的理论研究开辟了新的思路,为现代传记创作提供了良好的借鉴,值得深入探讨和研究。In the 20 th century,with abundant biographical writers as well as writings,fewarticles and theoretical works on biographical topic can be found. However,Wang Yuan published his academic work of Biography Studies on the basis of biography theory in the context of underdevelopment of theoretical research on biography literature in the first half of the century. He,with the reference to literature development between Chinese and Western biography,explores the related theoretical issues and further makes innovative proposals on biography literature on the basis of the traditional views. Moreover,he treats biography as a discipline and puts forwards a newterm Biography Studies,which is of significance and theoretical values. It not only provides a new way to study literature theories,but also sets a good example for the modern literary creation on biography,which deserves deep discussion.
