《天使不敢涉足的地方》解辖域化研究

摘　　要：爱德华·摩根·福斯特的第一部长篇小说《天使不敢涉足的地方》讲述了主人公在意大利人文主义精神的感召下实现思想和情感升华的故事,批判了英国社会中产阶级保守刻板的思想观念,揭露了工业进步所造成的人与人之间的隔阂,肯定了主人公打破阶级局限,努力追求自我和爱情的勇敢尝试。从解辖域化的研究视角,通过辖域化——解辖域化——再辖域化的循环演变过程,构建出主人公的精神成长和情感逃逸,凸显了福斯特小说创作中的时代变革性。小说所倡导的多元文化理念在全球化的今天依旧具有现实指导意义。Where Angels Fear to Tread, the first novel of Edward Morgan Foster, depicts a story that two British middle-class protagonists, inspired by the Humanism in Italy, achieve the cultivation and dis tillation of ideology and emotion. It not only criticizes the conservative views of the middle class and the estrangement caused by Industrialization, but also praises the protagonists for their endeavors to break the class limitation and to pursuit love and self-awareness. From the perspective of de^territorialization, the spiritual growth and emotional release of the protagonists have been accomplished through the cyclical process of territorialization, de-territorialization and re^territorialization in the novel. As such, the revolu- tion of the time in Foster＇s novel has been manifested. The multiculturalism shown in the novel still has actual and direct sense in the modern time.
