摘　　要：2017年9月,赛珍珠国际学术研讨会在镇江市召开。这是镇江市政府20多年来第九次举办这种大型的学术活动。与会专家从三个方面讨论了赛珍珠的中西文化观和她的慈善情怀,加深了人们对她的理解。分析会议的讨论情况,回顾20多年来《江苏大学学报(社会科学版)》赛珍珠研究专栏的成长历程,总结镇江市委市政府以支持赛珍珠研究带动中外文化交流和城市现代化建设的经验,具有十分重要的意义。An International Symposium about Pearl S.Buck was held in Zhenjiang in September2017.It was the eighth symposium organized by Zhenjiang government in the 20 years ago.The experts present discussed Pearl S.Buck＇s view of Chinese and Western cultures and her philanthropy from three aspects and thus deepened the understanding of Pearl S.Buck.The author first analyses what was discussed at the symposium,then reviews the growth history of Pearl S.Buck Column in Journal of Jiangsu University during the past 20 years and finally introduces how Zhenjiang government promotes cultural exchange between China and foreign countries and facilitates the construction of urban modernization through supporting Pearl S.Buck Studies.
