摘　　要：从中华人民共和国成立后最初出现新修《清史》的动议,到清史工程的启动,其间历经了约半个世纪的曲折。在此期间,虽然这种动议一再受挫,但以戴逸教授为代表的清史学者始终不忘初心,一面努力开展清史研究、建设清史所等专门性研究机构,一面多方呼吁、倡议启动新修清史工作。进入21世纪后,随着国家经济条件的改善,推动哲学社会科学大发展大繁荣政策的出台,以及清史学科的深厚学术积累,清史工程终于得以启动,被誉为中华人民共和国成立以来最大的一项文化工程。From the very first proposal after The People＇s Republic of China to build Qing Dynasty History,to the final start of the project,during which the twists and turns last for about half a century. During this period,though this proposal faced continuous frustration and setbacks,Scholars of Qing Dynasty History with Professor Dai Yi as the representative,one the one hand,carry out research and construct specialized research institutions for Qing Dynasty History; one the other hand,propose new suggestions and seek support from multi sides to start the new repair of Qing Dynasty History. After entering the 21 st century,along with the improvement of the national economic conditions and the policy to promote the development and prosperity of philosophy and social science,and also the profound academic accumulation of the discipline,Qing Dynasty History Project was finally able to start and was hailed as the largest cultural project since the founding of The People＇s Republic of China.
