“息庵居士”与《艳异编》编者考

摘　　要：明代文言短篇小说集《艳异编》的编者为谁,一般认为是王世贞,然尚缺临门一脚。《艳异编小引》的作者"息庵居士"是谁?也尚无定论。本篇据新发现的范守己写给王世贞的信《与王元美先生》中,言买到王世贞《艳异编》,并连同王世贞的《四部稿》《尺牍清裁》同予赞赏;而王世贞将《艳异编》寄送朋友徐子玉,并告戒其保密"毋多作业";与王世贞同时代人骆问礼《藏弆集》记载王世贞将《艳异编》送人,又赎回。三个材料可证实《艳异编》的编者为王世贞。据《艳异编小引》文字分析而知,其作者与《艳异编》编者为同一人。《艳异编》编者为王世贞,《小引》的作者"息庵居士"也只能是王世贞。"息庵居士"疑为王世贞之号。It is generally believed that Yan Yi Bian,the classical short stories in the Ming Dynasty is edited by Wang Shizhen.However,who is＂Xi＇an lay Buddhist＂？Besides,the author of the Introductory Note to Yan Yi Bian is also inconclusive.This paper,based on newly discovered information,including a letter from Wang＇s friend Fan Shouji who wrote to Wang after he bought Wang＇s＂Yan Yi Bian＂,a letter Wang wrote to Xu Ziyu when Wang send＂Yan Yi Bian＂to Xu,and the fact that Luo Wenli,Wang＇s contemporary,wrote in his book ＂Cang Qi Ji＂that Wang redeemed＂Yan Yi Bian＂when he sent it to a friend.It is,therefore,held in this paper that Wang Shizhen is indeed the editor of＂Yan Yi Bian＂.In addition,＂Xi＇an lay Buddhist＂is the alias of Wang Shizhen,and the Introductory Note to Yan Yi Bianis also written by Wang Shizhen.
