摘　　要：Nathaniel Hawthorne is regarded as the pioneer of short story in America and he is renowned for moral fables purifying the darkness of human beings."Dr. Rappaccini's Daughter"is one of the representative one. It tells the story of Dr. Rappaccini, with drive of morbid scientific zeal, raises his daughter as the bodily poison.
