摘　　要：容美土司是明清时期西南地区较强大的土司之一,留下了极为丰富的文化遗存,爵府遗址即为其重要的组成部分。遗址为容美土司的第二行政中心,是一处集行政、生活、文化娱乐和军事等设施于一体的明清建筑遗址群。遗址的发掘和保护,是全面揭示容美土司文化的重要前提,也有助于理解和认识明清时期的土司制度。Various cultural remains were left behind by the Rongmei Headman, one of the most powerful headman in the southwestern region during the Ming and Qing periods. The mansion site is an important constituent part of those remains, acting as the second administrative center for the Rongmei Headman. This architectural remain combined Ming and Qing＇s administrative, living, entertainment and military structures within one complex. The excavation and protection of the site is an important prerequisite for understanding Rongmei Headman culture, thus furthering our understanding of the headman system in the Ming and Qing periods.
